The far North shall descry its quondam empire!

A short commentary on Federal Government restraint treat on Chinese diplomats not to visit Tigray

Recent political developments in Ethiopia over the past year and a half were highly volatile. The new handicapped government is captivated by an inner circle and Foreign Interest groups, and cannot manage and execute the blueprint given by the orchestrates – Neoliberal forces.

As for characterizing trends which happened after the “regime” change in April 2018; anti-establishment moves were dominantly exhibited. The PM office centralized federated political and security commanding heights. Then, contentious and intensified erosion of law and order were followed. Similarly, the resent unlawful eviction of the ruling elite has also signaled away the country is heading to an anti-democratic sphere. Though, power consolidation via anti-democratic moves can’t sustain in a place where power fracture exists.

Thus, Justice shall serve all, if not law, even in the nation’s darkest time where “there is a bad transition” and power fracture.  A minacious situation – multifaceted internal and external (Global Regional) political actors, polarized and dynamic interest and a “go bung” government. However, irresponsible, divisive and short-sighted diplomatic and political signals of the federal government persist. Especially, recent diplomatic confiscation or containment policy behaviors of the federal leadership on Tigray regional state are against Article 26 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (VCDR, 1961). Moreover, such continual purging and confiscation approaches could shift the political playfield which is governed by “law” and election to the jungle ruled by armaments.

As history has proven for millennia in many countries, just cause of the struggle was a secret for victory. Our history has proven that when, people are purged because of their beliefs, Identities and political commitments – which is undemocratic, they would be turned into unstoppable freedom fighters. Imagine a country full of armaments, freedom fighters, fragile, and delinquent government. That is what Ethiopia is today. The History of the then vanquished nations of Ethiopia has proven victory over an undemocratic regime who was against national “intersubjective meanings and interpretation” of reality decades ago.

The role of a recently targeted and disregarded regional state was the vanguard. However, unfortunately, history has positioned these people for the same course again. But, I know for sure the people who waved from far Northern highlands don’t flare-up just by dint of hypocrite and populist rhythm and as well doesn’t hush by armaments of any kind for last. Rather, stands with unwavering determination and science for just full cause of national quest of identity to interpret Ethiopia prospect via “intersubjective” meanings.
