Alula Nerea(Ph.D. Candidate)

Alula Nerea is an economist currently pursuing a Ph.D. project that examines how great power competition influences the nexus between development assistance and income inequality. His academic interests cover areas of international relations, political economy, behavioral economics, and welfare economics. Alula’s work also explores democratic and economic reforms, as well as civil engagement in Ethiopia.

He holds an MA in Public Management and Policy from Addis Ababa University and an MA in Development Economics from St. Mary’s University. Additionally, he has a background in Accounting and Finance. Alula’s professional experience includes roles in business consultancy, finance, and administration.
